Joining the Bloggers of the World

Behold, my very first blog. I live in China so just to get to this site I had to use a web proxy because the free exchange of ideas is not something the authorities here revel in. Even as I write this, I don't know how long I will be able to keep it up before they block all access to this site. That being said, my purpose for keeping a blog is not in the least political. I simply want an outlet to discuss the lessons I am learning, the struggles I am having, the questions I mull over, etc. Lately the Lord has been impressing on me that I am a pilgrim in this life. That means that this life is not all there is. We do not stop existing when we die, and we do not exist solely for the life we have now. There is a kingdom to come -- a homeland to look forward to. And in the meantime, I live for that. I want to be heavenly-minded. I want to live for more than today. It is my hope that this blog will convey the details of that journey. That is all for now and, proxies allowing, there is more to come.
